More Than Just Stone

Níos mó ná cloch amháin

What began as a creative outlet quickly became something much more meaningful. I've always been drawn to the stories held within Ireland's landscapes stories shared through the Irish language, and passed down from generation to generation.

When I discovered Ogham in primary school, I was fascinated by its simplicity and symbolism. Each line carved into stone represented a letter, but together they told a story. That idea stayed with me. Today, I handcraft every Evermore Stones piece to help tell your story, transforming authentic Irish stone into personalised keepsakes that celebrate love, family, friendship, and life's most meaningful moments.

The Ancient Language of Ogham

Seanteanga an Oghaim

Dating back to the 4th century, Ogham is Ireland's oldest known written script. It was carved into standing stones to record names, commemorate loved ones, and mark important places. It is read from the bottom up. Today, more than 400 Ogham stones have been discovered across Ireland, offering a remarkable glimpse into our earliest written history.

One of the most fascinating places to experience Ogham is the Ballintaggart Ogham Stones, just outside Dingle, County Kerry. Home to the largest outdoor collection of Ogham stones in Ireland, the site features nine inscribed stones arranged in a circular enclosure overlooking the Atlantic coastline. Standing among them today, it's easy to imagine the people who carved these stones over 1,500 years ago, preserving names and stories that have endured through generations.

The Meaning Behind Evermore Stones

An bhrí atá taobh thiar de

I chose the name Evermore Stones because I wanted it to reflect the lasting nature of both stone and memories. Stones have shaped Ireland's shores for thousands of years. My hope is that every piece I create becomes a keepsake with that same sense of permanence.

At the heart of Evermore Stones is a respect for Ireland's heritage, nature, and traditional craftsmanship. Every stone is ethically hand-collected from Ireland's coastline, carefully selected for its natural beauty, and handcrafted into a unique piece. Nothing is mass-produced; each creation is engraved, painted, finished, and packaged by hand in my studio.

Sustainability is just as important to me as craftsmanship. By working with natural stones and creating each piece by hand, I strive to minimise waste while honouring the beauty of the materials Ireland provides.
