Frequently asked questions
What is Ogham?
Ogham is Ireland's oldest known written alphabet, dating back over 1,500 years. Traditionally carved into standing stones, each series of lines represents a letter. At Evermore Stones, I use this ancient Irish script to create personalised keepsakes that celebrate names, meaningful words, and life's special moments.
Are your stones genuine Irish stone?
Yes. Every Evermore Stones creation is made using authentic Irish stone, carefully selected from Ireland's coastline. Each stone is naturally unique, making every personalised piece one of a kind.
How are the stones sourced?
Every stone is hand-collected with care and respect for Ireland's natural environment. I only gather naturally weathered stones from suitable locations, always taking a responsible approach that respects the coastline, protected habitats, and local regulations. Sustainability and preserving Ireland's beautiful landscape are at the heart of everything I do.
How are Evermore Stones products made?
Every piece is handcrafted from start to finish in my studio. Each stone is carefully washed, engraved with your chosen Ogham inscription, hand-painted, sealed for protection, and finished as a frame, pendant, keyring, or palm pebble. No two pieces are ever exactly alike because every stone and every story is unique.
Can I personalise my Ogham stone?
Absolutely! You can personalise your Ogham stone with a name, initials, a special date, or a meaningful word translated into the ancient Ogham alphabet. If you're unsure what to choose, I'm always happy to help.
Do you offer custom Ogham stone orders?
Yes! If you have a special idea in mind, I'd love to create something just for you. Whether it's a wedding gift, anniversary keepsake, memorial, new home gift, or a completely bespoke design, simply fill out the custom order form or get in touch to discuss your vision
What occasions are Evermore Stones gifts suitable for?
Evermore Stones creations make meaningful gifts for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, new homes, engagements, memorials, retirements, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and anyone looking to celebrate their Irish heritage. Every handcrafted Ogham stone is designed to tell a unique story.
Are all your products handmade?
Yes. Every Evermore Stones piece is handcrafted to order by me. From selecting the stone to engraving, painting, framing, and packaging, every stage is completed with care and attention to detail.
How long will my order take?
As every piece is handcrafted to order, processing times may vary depending on the design and time of year. Estimated production and delivery times can be found on individual product pages. If you need your order for a specific date, please get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, I’m only able to offer shipping within Ireland and Northern Ireland.New EU packaging and recycling regulations coming into effect in 2026 have introduced additional requirements for small businesses sending packaged products into EU countries. I’m currently reviewing what these changes mean for Evermore Stones before reopening international shipping.I expect to review this again in October 2026, and I hope to be able to offer shipping to Europe and further afield again in the future. If you are outside Ireland and would like to place an order, please contact me directly at evermorestones@gmail.com. I’ll see what I can do and will be happy to discuss your order with you.Thank you for your understanding and for supporting a small Irish handmade business.
How do I care for my Evermore Stones piece?
Your handcrafted Ogham stone is made to last. To keep it looking its best, simply wipe it gently with a soft cloth if needed and avoid harsh chemicals or prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions. Frames are best displayed indoors, while pendants and keyrings should be treated with the same care as any handcrafted jewellery.
What makes Evermore Stones sustainable?
Sustainability is one of my core values. Every stone is responsibly sourced, each piece is made to order to minimise waste, and I use recyclable packaging wherever possible. By creating handmade pieces in small batches rather than mass-producing products, I can focus on quality, craftsmanship, and caring for Ireland's natural environment.
Can you translate any name into Ogham?
Most names and words can be adapted into the Ogham alphabet. As Ogham was created for the early Irish language, some modern letters and spellings require slight adjustments. If you're unsure how your chosen name or word will appear, I'll happily guide you through the process before your piece is created.
